Live Concerts From a Wing of an Airliner Home.
A new concert option: Superb music rendered from a wing of a scintillating aerospace home. Nihongo de.
On 23 August 2018 classical guitar artist Craig Einhorn provided an intimate and very engaging performance for us in the 727 cabin. It was a delight!
Direct from Tokyo, magical Yuko Pomily penetrated our hearts in early June 2018 and late September and early October 2016 with Haruyuki-san accompanying. They were pure joy!
Yuko-san is Japanese and sang almost solely in Japanese so many didn't understand her words. But her heart and the beauty and fun of her art are universal so language wall notwithstanding her music and passion were genuinely exhilarating and a deeply heartwarming immersion in charm.
Sublime and acclaimed cellist Tessa Seymour performed an enthralling solo concert of exquisite classical music on 3 October 2106. Wow - she was incredible in her range, power, subtlety, silky smoothness and sheer intimacy with her remarkable three century old cello. It was a mesmerizing performance!
And it wasn't wasted - we had a packed house of thoroughly appreciative guests. All of whom in my estimation hope Tessa will return someday soon to grace our humble forest nestled stage with another superb performance.
If so see FaceBook.com/events/139521279836555 and ConcertOnAWing.com for details.
Tessa, a renowned talent with high standing at Carnegie Hall and Washington DC Kennedy Center, was a very rare treat, especially in such an intimate and remote setting. So we hope she'll return so we can savor a world class talent as if a country neighbor again.
